June, 2015. Pants On Fire, an original play by Sam Pond, premiered as a staged reading to a roaring crowd. And a new American comedy was born.
Pants On Fire tells the story of a group of advertising people who are just as manipulative, childish and insanely Machiavellian as the ad industry itself. On the morning of the agency’s largest pitch, the sudden death of agency icon, Hal Noble, sets into motion a series of deranged power-grabs, desperate carnal advances and preposterous machinations. Oh, and lots of blow-up sex dolls, too.
The event also raised over $3,000 for two worthy non-profits – The Beat Within and Youth Speaks.
Pants On Fire is available for representation and full production.
